And now, for something completely different...
(One line a day, every day, until President Trump is re-elected).
"Good evening, and welcome to NightLine... I'm not Ted Koppel: We begin this Sunday night with deep reverence for entertainment in its many forms, especially every fall's NFL and SNL season, and in this time of our country's great divide, SNL is clearly to be expected and revered for its history of over the topism as subtle satire, but it's finally jumped the snark, and turned it to negative eleven, as simply witness last night's opening skit, Maya Rudolph typically brilliant as 'The Mean Girl,' and the guy who played VP Pence typically stiff, and Jim Carrey typically zany as Joe Biden teleported as a Brundle-fly on top of VP Pence's head, a genius idea, except they went way over the line and invoked Herman Cain reincarnated as a fly, and that's a big thumbs down, and the show went even more shallow from there, and if you didn't know who Bill Burr was, you certainly do now, (there was one ironic highlight: Jack White vies for best musician on Earth), and then, there's the NFL, and sports in its many forms, and as we look back on two decades of sports success in the city of Boston, and we consider the Tampa Bay Lightning having just won the Stanley Cup, and the Tampa Bay Rays legit contenders to win a Pennant and the World Series, that if the Rays do win, do we start to recognize (in his time) that Tom Brady brings winning everywhere, and is a truly magical athlete."
(Please continue to tune in, every night at 11:30... ish).
